I don't know any shops but there are various online suppliers like ianmankin.co.uk, The Fent Shop, and Deckchair Stripes.

Hi,

I have a very large couch, the seat cushions are 4' square. The cushions that came with the couch are poorly constructed and crush down to 2" when an average sized person sits on the couch. So I have been trying to research what construction if any will work, and I have realized that I may be having to recontruct them myself.

The Manufacturer has sent samples (six) cut aways that I can choose from, however the cut aways are not 4' square!!

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to deal with this please?  The original cushion I have cut open to see the matterials consits of Down approx 1" on top and bottom with one single 5 " foam piece in the middle.
One of the cut aways has springs in the center of it, do you think this would work?

Thank You for any help you can offer

There is a US book called 'Pillows - step-by-step techniques' published by Sunset books which describes how to make a variation of a Shiki-buton (a Japanese folding cushion, the padded part of a futon).

This shows how to make the 'hinge' parts to allow the cushion to fold.

Hi all
I have had an enquiry regarding a cushion type that's unfamiliar to me and wondered if any of you have any tips on how this is made?

Many thanks

Message:
I am looking for some guidance on making 2 part Gaucho type RV cushion.  These are the ones that have 2 foam parts that double as a chair and back cushion while can be folded down to make a bed cushion.

I am particularly interested in the attachment method used between the two foam cushion pieces.

Hi

Trying to make a fabric-covered lathe.  Any tips please?  Do you attach the plyboard to the pelmet board and then cover it?  Do you have returns?  Thank you

It is important you use featherproof fabric - something like this http://www.discountmaterials.co.uk/store/product/886
