the help of our two introductory sewing guides, even beginners will be able to learn to
make a range of beautiful soft furnishings products with confidence! Then, once you have
mastered the basic techniques the guides will show you how to develop your skills further,
instructing you on more advanced techniques including design and fabric
variations! |

If you are a complete
beginner or have some limited sewing
experience but have never made any soft furnishings before, then start by downloading our
free beginner's guide covering basic tools and sewing terms, stitches and seams. Find out more and download the free

Read about each of our Teach
Yourself Guides in detail. We have
produced 7 guides in total, two introductory guides and one individual guide for each soft
furnishings project. Here you will find an overview of the contents and structure of each
of our sewing guides along with a short introduction. Select a soft furnishings
project/guide from the list in the left menu.
Place your order quickly,
simply and securely online! Once you have decided which of the guides you would like to
purchase, go to the page detailing the particular guide (or CD-ROM) and simply click on
the "add to shopping basket" button . You will be asked to
confirm your selection and will then be redirected back to the guides pages to continue
shopping. By clicking the "View basket" button at the top of the page you may
remove items from your basket at any time. Once you have finished click the "Go
to checkout" button at the top of the page. At the checkout the total cost of your
guides will be calculated and appropriate shipping costs added
if ordering the CD. You will then need to
follow the instructions enabling you to pay securely by credit card.
Once you have completed the
purchase process a link to the Adobe PDF file will be displayed -
save this to your computer for you to view and print - an
invaluable resource that you can refer to and use again and again.

In order to avoid repetition, we often refer back to this guide in
each of our full sewing guides. Even if you are not a complete
beginner, there may be a techniques or terms that you are not
familiar with.
Note: our
American visitors should also bear in mind that many of the sewing
and soft furnishings terms used in England are different to those
you may be familiar with. Our glossary and introductory guide will
prove very handy in ensuring that you are able to follow the
instructions in the guides more easily.
