| Overview |
| Many
of the skills involved in stiff pelmet and lambrequin making are
similar. However, our stiff pelmets course gives
you an opportunity to make stiff pelmets using traditional
materials, involving sewing rather than upholstery skills. The
afternoon session provides an introduction to the basic upholstery
skills involved in using more modern materials. Our Lambrequin
course involves the same basic upholstery skills with extra
tuition on a rather different method of construction that that
employed in the making of MDF stiff pelmets. Our recommendation is
that all students consider attending the stiff pelmets course
first, then move on to lambrequin making. An example of the course structure (Buckram) is given below. |
