| A unique
learning experience |
| These soft
furnishings day courses provide high quality professional tuition based around a
'start-to-finish' practical demonstration to a small group of attendees. Our highly
qualified tutor will take you through the design and make process step by step, drawing
your attention to common mistakes and pitfalls, providing handy tips and answering all
your questions along the way. In order to
maximise your learning potential within a short space of time and to ensure an informal
approach, there are never more than 3 students per group. Comprehensive course notes will
accompany each day course both to supplement and reinforce the knowledge acquired. |
| Advice for
beginners |
| For those
of you that are new to sewing or to making soft furnishings our Beginners
Skills Course has been
designed especially for you. We have also produced a free
introductory guide to "Basic Sewing
Equipment and Techniques" that will enable you to acquire the basic skills needed to
embark on your first sewing project. Your next step should be to focus on some of the
specific techniques involved in the making of soft furnishings. We have produced a second
introductory guide, an introduction to soft
furnishings sewing techniques, with this in mind. Our advice to beginners is to start
off with simple furnishings and work your way up to the more complicated products and
designs. Once you feel happy that you have mastered some of the basics, our Teach
Yourself Cushions Course is an ideal starting point from which to build. Our soft furnishings sewing courses are
available in the UK only and are based in Fleet, Hampshire, in the South East of England. |
