| About.com's sewing message boards
are always highly active. While you will need to register in order to participate, you can
browse using 'guest access' before you get started. |
| Google groups' sewing forum hosts a
wide range of discussions, although the focus tends to be on dressmaking. |
| An active forum that seems to have a
slight focus on sewing machine related postings. |
| SewingWorld.com claims to be the
web's number 1 sewing community, and while the rest of the site was disappointingly empty
when we last visited, the discussions seemed active. Forums are themed and include
'Technique', 'Sew Specialities', and 'Sewing Machines and Sergers'. |
| A busy sewing forum
covering both soft furnishings and dressmaking, as well as other forums dedicated to
quilting, cross-stitch and knitting. |
| The World Wide Visions sewing
message board has much more of a focus on dress making than soft furnishings sewing. The
list is somewhat disorganised since the wide variety of postings are not grouped into
themed categories. That said, if you have a specific question and need a quick answer this
may well be the place to go. |
